Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a powerful address during a rally in Karakat, Bihar, delivered a resolute message to Pakistan, underscoring India’s unyielding stance on terrorism. Referring to the April 24 promise he made in Madhubani, a day after the Pahalgam terror attack, PM Modi declared that he has returned to Bihar after fulfilling his vow — to crush terrorist bases across the border.

Quoting the iconic line “Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye” (One may lose their life, but not break a promise), PM Modi linked the spirit of Lord Ram with India’s current defense posture. He emphasized that keeping promises is now the hallmark of New India, especially in matters of national security.
Operation Sindoor: A Symbol of Strength
Referring to the recent counter-terror operation, dubbed Operation Sindoor, PM Modi stated that India had delivered an unforgettable blow to terrorist strongholds in Pakistan. “Those who dared to erase the sindoor of our women, we reduced their headquarters to dust,” he said, drawing thunderous applause.
He further added, “Terrorists believed they were safe under Pakistan Army’s protection. But in minutes, we destroyed their air bases and military installations. This is the strength of New India. Let Pakistan understand — Operation Sindoor is just one arrow in our quiver. If terrorism rises again, we will crush it at its roots.”
Bihar: First Electoral Test Post-Operation Sindoor
With Bihar heading to the polls in October-November 2025, it becomes the first state to vote after the high-impact military action. Being a politically charged, Hindi heartland state, the emotional and nationalistic resonance of Operation Sindoor is expected to play a decisive role.
The BJP is already making strategic moves. A massive roadshow in Patna on Thursday featured bold banners declaring:
- “Jo Sindoor Mitane Nikle The, Unhe Mitti Mein Milaya Hai”
- “Na Desh Jhukega, Na Bihar Ka Vikas Rukega”
The message is clear: the NDA is riding into the elections on a wave of national pride, military might, and development agenda.
Political Landscape in Bihar
The NDA alliance — comprising the BJP, Nitish Kumar’s JD(U), and Chirag Paswan’s LJP — has consolidated its position in Bihar. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA swept all 40 seats in the state, riding high on the momentum of the Balakot airstrike. In the 2020 Assembly elections, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 80 seats, followed by JD(U)’s 45. Though Nitish Kumar briefly allied with the RJD, he returned to the NDA two years ago and has since reaffirmed his loyalty to the coalition.
The Message of a New India
By tying together military success, nationalistic sentiment, and his personal commitment, PM Modi framed the anti-terror response as a turning point for India. “This is New India,” he declared, “We don’t forget, we don’t forgive — we respond with strength and precision.”
With Bihar as the first electoral battlefield post-Operation Sindoor, the NDA is clearly setting the tone: national security, decisive leadership, and unity will be the pillars of their campaign.
