Supriya Sule
Mumbai, June 4, 2025: Supriya Sule, Member of Parliament from Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction), praised the Operation Sindoor global outreach initiative, calling it a significant first step in strengthening India’s international presence and partnerships.

Summary:
Sule, who led Group 7 of the all-party delegation visiting multiple countries, emphasised the need for continued global interactions across diverse sectors like trade, education, pharmaceuticals, and culture. Speaking to ANI, she said:
“This is just the beginning. Many countries we visited expressed the need for Parliamentary Friendship Groups and deeper bilateral engagement. I will be conveying this feedback to the External Affairs Minister (EAM) during our upcoming briefing.”
Focus on International Collaboration
The Operation Sindoor outreach program was launched following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed several innocent lives. The delegations, including parliamentarians across party lines, travelled to key global capitals to communicate India’s position on cross-border terrorism and foster strategic cooperation.
Group 7, led by Sule, included a high-profile delegation:
- Rajiv Pratap Rudy
- Vikramjeet Singh Sahney
- Manish Tewari
- Anurag Singh Thakur
- Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu
- Anand Sharma
- V. Muraleedharan
- Syed Akbaruddin
The delegation actively engaged with foreign governments, think tanks, and Indian diaspora groups to highlight India’s efforts against terrorism and propose frameworks for collaboration.
India’s Image Strengthened Abroad
Responding to a query on how the global outreach was received, Sule noted that the international response was largely positive, with many countries expressing support for India’s position and seeking deeper bilateral ties.
“There was a genuine interest in forming long-term relationships. The visits were meaningful, and I believe such initiatives must continue regularly,” Sule added.
No Political Discussions During Outreach
On the topic of internal political developments, especially the possibility of reconciliation between her faction and Ajit Pawar’s NCP, Sule clarified that her focus over the past 13 days was solely on Operation Sindoor.
“I was abroad for 11 days and had 2 days of briefings before that. There was no time for politics. On June 6, we’ve been called by the Ministry of External Affairs for a debriefing session. We’ll think about political matters after that,” she said.
Looking Ahead
With India’s diplomatic offensive gaining momentum, the all-party delegations under Operation Sindoor have reinforced the importance of unity across party lines in tackling national security challenges. Supriya Sule’s leadership and remarks underline the broader political consensus on the need for sustained and structured global engagement.
