Errol Musk Visits India to Promote Green Tech: “Every Unit of Electricity Must Be Used, Reused, or Saved”

New Delhi, June 2 — Errol Musk, the father of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, has arrived in India on a five-day visit to champion the cause of green technology and sustainable innovation. His visit aligns closely with India’s ambition to lead globally in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and renewable energy exports.

The 79-year-old South African entrepreneur and engineer landed in Delhi on Sunday and is expected to engage in a series of high-level discussions with Indian business leaders, policymakers, investors, and government officials. His tour includes visiting key manufacturing units and sustainability-driven operations, particularly those of Servotech Power Systems, an Indian clean-tech company.
Errol Musk recently joined Servotech’s global advisory board on May 5 and will be guiding the company on its global business strategy, especially in EV and solar technologies.
As part of his itinerary, Musk will visit Servotech’s solar and EV charger production facilities in Safiabad, Haryana, and participate in a major plantation drive on World Environment Day (June 5).
He is also scheduled to visit the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, reflecting a blend of technological curiosity and spiritual engagement during his trip.
Speaking on the future of green energy, Errol Musk stated:
“We rely increasingly on electricity. With India’s EV market projected to surge from $8 billion to $100 billion in five years, power demand will multiply. It’s critical that every unit of electricity generated is used efficiently—used, reused, or saved. We can’t afford any wastage anymore.”
While Errol Musk is often in the public eye due to his high-profile son, his visit to India puts a spotlight on India’s rising role in the global green energy transition.
Musk will conclude his visit on June 6.
