Hyderabad: In a dramatic and fiery press conference, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC K Kavitha lashed out at her own party’s leadership, expressing deep anguish over the leak of a personal letter she had written to her father and party president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). The explosive remarks have sent political ripples across Telangana as Kavitha accused insiders of weakening the BRS from within.

Demanding accountability for the leaked letter, Kavitha questioned, “I’ve written hundreds of letters—what’s wrong with this one? Who leaked it? Why is the power being used against me instead of catching the culprits?”
Kavitha alleged that she had been misled by individuals posing as KCR’s emissaries. “People came to me claiming they were KCR’s messengers and fed me false information. I’m deeply hurt,” she said.
Addressing speculation about a possible BRS-BJP merger, Kavitha didn’t mince words: “This idea was floated while I was in jail—I opposed it then and I oppose it now. They’re trying to use Chandrababu as a bridge. I told them clearly—BRS should never be merged with the BJP.”
In a bold statement of defiance, she declared, “Let me go to jail for a year, but I will never allow the party to be handed over to the BJP.”
Kavitha also blamed party insiders—whom she called “BJP coverts”—for her defeat in the recent elections. “BJP leaders’ hospitals were inaugurated by our people. They sabotaged my campaign. These infiltrators must be exposed and controlled,” she warned.
She questioned the party’s silence and lack of strategy amidst rising political threats. “What is the BRS doing in villages? What’s the plan if KCR receives notices? The party shouldn’t just exist on social media,” she asserted.
Taking aim at a media campaign against her, Kavitha said, “Paid artists and social media influencers are being used to target me. One major paper keeps writing against me, but the party remains silent. When another senior leader was targeted, the party came out in his support immediately. Why not now?”
On her political future, Kavitha hinted at possible new directions. “There is a clear conspiracy to isolate me. I will only work under KCR’s leadership—no one else. As for launching a new party—why should I deny that possibility? Who knows what the future holds?”
With this fiery outburst, Kavitha has not only shaken the foundations of BRS but also stirred speculation about a major realignment in Telangana’s political landscape.
